Getting Around
Welcome to the 70th Annual IPS Meeting at the Technion! This page is intended to help you navigate the campus on the day of the conference—whether you're arriving by train, cable car, or car. Additionally, we have provided walking directions linked below to help move between venues quickly and comfortably.
Arrival and Parking
Recommended Arrival: Train + Cable Car
For the easiest and most scenic route to the Technion, take the train to Lev Hamifratz Station and continue via the “Rachbalit” cable car to the Technion campus. It is a 10 minute walk from the cable car station to Churchill building.

Arriving by Car
When entering the Technion campus, tell the security guard you're attending the IPS meeting (or "הכנס של האגודה הישראלית לפיזיקה") and you will be allowed to enter.
You may find parking along the perimeter road, but please ensure that no restrictive parking signs are present. Otherwise, we have two large parking lots available, one just outside the Nesher gate and one close to Canada building:
These lots are approximately a 10–15 minute walk from Churchill Building.
The Main Venue (Registration, plenary, lunch and posters)
Most of the conference activities—including registration, opening remarks, plenary talks, lunch and the poster session—will take place at the Churchill Building. Registration opens at 8:00 AM at the entrance level.

Please refer to the program for specific times and topics.
In case you are unsure of the way, staff will be stationed near the registration area to assist you with directions and any questions. You’ll also find signs along walking routes between key locations to help you navigate the campus with ease.
Parallel Sessions, happy hour, and poster prizes
This year, we will host three parallel sessions, each comprising approximately 20 rooms. All parallel sessions will take place in the Ullman Building.
